Kentucky Public Radio now has a list of non-merit employees who left state government since Gov. Beshear ordered layoffs. But the number of departures that are specifically layoff-related remains unanswered.

Judge Refuses to Halt State Furloughs

A Frankfort judge has refused to block the furlough of state employees ordered by Gov. Steve Beshear. The first of six furlough days is Friday and Franklin Circuit Judge Phillip Shepherd says the unpaid days off may proceed.
