WVXU Remembers Oscar Treadwell

The staff, friends and listeners of WVXU and WGUC, as well as the Greater Cincinnati community and the world of jazz, have lost a dear friend and a radio icon. Oscar Treadwell has passed away at the age of 79. We will miss him dearly and extend our heartfelt condolences to his family.

OT Returns to WVXU
A brief look back on Oscar Treadwell's seven decades in radio and his return to WVXU.

Jazz with OT on WVXU
Oscar's program Jazz with OT, heard Sunday nights at 9pm on WVXU, will continue. OT recorded his shows several weeks in advance of their air date, and so for the next few weeks, WVXU will air the remainder of his original programs. Once they have been aired, WVXU will rebroadcast the entire eight months of Jazz with OT at its normal Sunday evening time.
