Cincinnati Public Radio is currently seeking to fill the following position(s):

Account Executive

DO YOU LOVE PUBLIC RADIO?

Market Enginuity is seeking a determined and persuasive sales professional to join our public media sales team at Cincinnati Public Radio (90.9 WGUC and 91.7 WVXU) selling their media assets, including 20-second corporate sponsorship messages and event sponsorships. This is an outside sales position where successful sales people develop new business by cold-calling and following a consultative sales approach.

Daily life for an account executive in public radio is similar to that of a salesperson in commercial radio or local print media. An account executive is expected to make cold-calls to decision makers at local and regional businesses, meet with them to understand their marketing needs and develop proposals that offer marketing solutions to help them grow their business.


Desired Skills & Experience:
The Account Executive will be responsible for the sale of 20-second corporate sponsorship messages and other marketing related products. This is an outside sales position where successful sales reps develop new business by cold-calling and following a consultative sales approach.


Cincinnati Public Radio is a highly regarded community institution and the position requires excellent professional communication and presentation skills. The successful candidate must possess the ability to persuade, manage their time, prioritize effectively and be goal oriented. The position requires 3 years of media or marketing-related sales experience and a 4-year college degree. Prior radio and/or digital sales experience highly desirable.
