Around Cincinnati Christmas Special

The Fifth Annual Around Cincinnati Christmas special will air on 91.7 WVXU and 88.5 WMUB on Sunday, December 20, from 7-9 p.m. and then repeats on Christmas Day, December 25th, from 7-9 p.m. This year’s special features live studio recordings made in Cincinnati and Nashville, poetry readings, and songs from local musicians, and is produced and hosted by Lee Hay.

Local musicians recorded in WVXU’s studio:

Music historian and performer Larry Nager recorded a song for the special in a Nashville studio, and Zak Morgan’s contribution was also produced in Nashville by David LaBruyere (who played with Over the Rhine and John Mayer.) Robin Lacy put together a version of Santa Claus is Coming to Town for the special.
