WVXU-FM’s new director receieved the 2010 Leo C. Lee Award from the Public Radio News Directors Inc. for her “lasting commitment to public radio journalism.”

The Fort Thomas resident is celebratating her 25th year in public radio news. She worked 20 years for Northern Kentucky University’s WNKU-FM (89.7), before jumping to WVXU-FM five years ago after Cincinnati Public Radio acquired the station from Xavier University.
