Duke, city come to agreement on streetcar project

The city of Cincinnati and Duke Energy have reached an agreement in a long-standing dispute over moving utility lines for the $110 million streetcar project.

Duke will begin moving the lines now, under the agreement.

Both sides have agreed to go to Hamilton County Common Pleas Court and ask for a declaratory judgment on which party is responsible for the approximate $15 million cost of moving the lines – Duke, or the city.

There's a new sheriff in town

Hamilton County's new sheriff was sworn into office at noon Friday, marking the first time in 39 years a Democrat has held the seat.  It also marked the first time in 25 years the Investiture Ceremony has been performed.

The ceremony for Jim Neil, who's been on the job since January 7, took place at the Hamilton County Courthouse.   Judges Nadine Allen, Melba Marsh, Jody Luebbers and Ralph Winkler presided over the public event held in Courtroom 340, which was filled to capacity.  Judge Allen administered the Oath of Office.

Dunnhumby breaks ground for new HQ

Employees of dunnhumbyUSA and community leaders gathered at the corner of Fifth and Race in Cincinnati Thursday morning for the groundbreaking ceremony for the company's four-story headquarters.

The $100 million development  will include a 1,000- space parking garage and 35,000 square feet of commercial space.

Autographs to be showcased at Reds Hall of Fame

The Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and Museum's showcase exhibit for 2013 will feature a collection of autographs from more than 1,500 Red players - nearly every player who has worn the Reds uniform since 1920.

"Signature Reds: A Century of Reds Autographs" opens to the public at 10 a.m Saturday at the Hall of Fame and Museum at Great American Ball Park, 100 Joe Nuxhall Way.
