Despite many months of stops and starts, the Banks project is moving forward. Today Hamilton County Commission President Todd Portune announced developers have secured the 74-million dollars necessary to begin Phase one. Portune says groundbreaking is set for April second. Phase one is adjacent to Great American Ballpark, and goes south to Mehring Way and the river. It includes a series of apartments, condominiums, office buildings, shops, restaurants, a hotel, and more. This part of the development is expected to take three years to finish.
