Dalai Lama schedules another local visit in the fall

The Dalai Lama will be in Cincinnati in October to accept an award from the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th Dalai Lama, will accept the International Freedom Conductor Award during a luncheon event at the Duke Energy Center on October 20. Freedom Center CEO Donald Murphy says the award is given to indivuduals and organizations that have been conspicuous and effective champions of freedom. The spiritual leader of Tibet will also be visiting Miami University in Oxford October 20-22 to meet with students and give a public address.
