Cincinnati Council will spend the rest of the week completing work on the 2013 city budget. 

About 40 people spoke during the final public hearing Monday night in Corryville.

There were again a number of speakers who asked Council to preserve funding for Media Bridges.  It operates several cable-access channels and a small radio station in the city.

Executive Director Tom Bishop said turnout for the group should show Council Members the value of the service.

The Cincinnati Reds have signed outfielder Ryan Ludwick to a two year deal worth $15 million. The contract goes through the 2014 season with a mutual option for 2015. During last season Ludwick hit .275 with 26 home runs and 80 RBIs. In a Reds news release General Manager Walt Jockety said the 34 year old was important to the Reds success last year and the team is looking to keep that momentum going into next season.

A Northern Kentucky company is expanding its facility and hiring more workers.  Governor Steve Beshear announced Monday that Indy Honeycomb is adding 13 full-time jobs.  It's a $915,000 investment that includes doubling production space, adding office space and purchasing equipment. 

The company makes metal honeycomb for military, commercial and industrial use, including parts for aircraft engines and power generation turbines.  Indy Honeycomb currently employs 29 people at its manufacturing plant in Covington.
