Cincinnati officials are again looking for solutions after another bad report on the city's retirement system.  It added another $133 million to its unfunded liability last year.  

Council's Budget and Finance Committee heard the presentation Monday.

One Council Member asked if the city can invest its way out of trouble.

Greater Cincinnati companies, including Total Quality Logistics (TQL), GE, US Bank and Horseshoe Casino, are learning to better recruit, hire and retain local veterans.

Cincinnati Council could vote this week on an alternate financing plan to redevelop the old Pogue’s garage at the corner of Fourth and Race downtown.

Developer David Flaherty, who’s company is planning the project, told city council’s budget and finance committee it would do several things.

The Port of Greater Cincinnati Development Authority (Port Authority) is looking to give the region a bigger edge when it comes to marketing business along the Ohio River.

Right now the Port covers 26 miles. It's looking to expand those boundaries to 205 miles by enlisting 18 counties from Scioto County, Ohio and Greenup County, Kentucky to the East and Jefferson County, Indiana to the west.
