In April, 1990, an art exhibit opened in Cincinnati that created immediate controversy, placed the Contemporary Arts Center on a national stage, and sparked a legal battle over the first amendment.

Here to discuss that exhibit, ?Robert Mapplethorpe: The Perfect Moment? and its legacy, and to give us a preview of upcoming events commemorating the 25th anniversary of the CAC exhibit, are Contemporary Arts Center Director Raphaela Platow and Curator Steven Matijcio, and FotoFocus Artistic Director and Curator Kevin Moore.

Mapplethorpe+ 25, a symposium co-presented by the Contemporary Arts Center and FotoFocus to commemorate the 25th anniversary of ?RobertMapplethorpe: The Perfect Moment? at the Contemporary Arts Center, will be held October 23 - 24, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the CAC. For information, click here. To register for Mapplethorpe + 25, click here.

After The Moment, Reflections on Robert Mapplethorpe, will be on display at the Contemporary Arts Center, November 6, 2015 through March 13, 2016.
