While in college, Adi Jaffe began using and dealing drugs, which eventually resulted in his arrest and a year-long prison sentence. Then he began to rebuild his life. He went back to school, earning a Ph.D. from UCLA's doctoral program in psychology.
Today, Dr. Jaffe is CEO of IGNTD, LLC and a nationally recognized expert on mental health, addiction and stigma. His work focuses on changing the way we think about and deal with addiction and reducing the stigma often associated with mental illness.
Dr. Jaffe is in Cincinnati to speak this evening at a forum sponsored by Jewish Family Service. He joins us this afternoon to discuss removing the shame and stigma of addiction.
Jewish Family Service of Cincinnati presents "Addiction: Shedding the Shame and Stigma" with Dr. Adi Jaffe tonight, March 15, at the Cooper Creek Event Center in Blue Ash. For information and registration, click here.
