Blink, the community art and light festival, ended in October but its artwork still lives today. This includes a brand new mural that's being painted by an internationally known street artist, ROA, near Findlay Market.ROA began working on the mural Monday and expects to finish it by Saturday. He was originally supposed to paint the mural in October but was unable to due to travel issues.

According to a news release, the project was produced by Agar, a founding partner in Blink, and curated by JustKids.

Andrew Salzbrun, a managing partner at Agar, says the project will be complete by the end of this week but there won't be an unveiling ceremony.

"Given the size and the scale of it, it'll have the impact that it should," Salzbrun said. "The unveiling will be Saturday, [November] 18 as Findlay Market comes to life during its weekend hours. Guests will get to see that completed mural."

Blink brought in an estimated one million people to downtown Cincinnati in early October, drawing in crowds bigger than Riverfest, Taste of Cincinnati, and Oktoberfest.

Salzbrun says there are plans to bring the event back but the partners are still figuring out the details.

"Our goal in bringing Blink back at some later point is to not only execute at a level we set the tone or expectation for, but to extend the impact of that and to extend the story and they why of what BLINK is," Salzbrun said.
