Bonnie Lou passed away on December 8th here in Cincinnati. Her passing was marked with newspaper obituaries across the country including theNew York Times. She was a legend and a wonderful entertainer.
Tonight, December 26th at 11pm, you'll hear a one-hour celebration of her life. John Kieswetter shares some of his memories of Bonnie Lou. You'll also hear an interview of her and music historian Randy McNutt in our studio in November, 2007. Plus, lots and lots of her recorded songs, many of them recorded at King Records, which earned her an honored place in the Rockabilly Hall of Fame.
She lit up a room when she entered, and her laughter and smiles were infectious! She'll be missed.
