*Update* The Hamilton County Tax Levy Review Committee is recommending the Developmental Disabilities Levy be put on the May ballot as a flat renewal. The TLRC also recommends the agency implement the consultant's recommendations listed below.
Hamilton County Commissioners will hear more details Monday about the upcoming Developmental Disabilities Levy.
The Tax Levy Review Committee makes its recommendation to the board Monday morning.
Earlier this month a consultant's report concluded a flat renewal of the current levy millage is warranted. The consultant also recommends the agency aggressively pursue Medicaid waivers to help minimize costs; require school districts to transport students to DD services school locations; and look for ways to cut costs by sharing services and initiatives with other agencies and counties.
The levy is up for renewal in May.
The current rate costs about $118 per every $100,000 of home value.
