Pat Linhart and Julie Spangler came into WVXU's studio May 8th and spoke with Elaine Diehl about their upcoming performance at the Fitton Center for Creative Arts in Hamilton, Ohio, on May 19th. During the interview, they talk about the difference between cabaret and musical theatre, the concept of the Fitton show, and some of the special guests who'll be performing with them.
Pat Linhart is "Cincinnati's reigning Queen of Song" and a CCM faculty member who has performed with the Human Race Theatre as well as Lyric Opera Cleveland. Julie Spangleris a pianist with the Cincinnati Pops who has performed with many well-known stars including Rosemary Clooney, Kristen Chenoweth and Bernadette Peters. She also recorded a song for Cincinnati Public Radio's cd, French Bliss.
