From letsmove.gov website

Supporters say they hope an event Saturday morning on the city's riverfront will help promote a healthy, active lifestyle.

Council Member P.G. Sittenfeld is partnering with city departments, businesses and non-profits for “Let’s Move, Cincinnati.”

It's part of First Lady Michelle Obama's national initiativedesigned to fight the growing problem of childhood obesity.

“A healthy city is a productive city, and teaching kids and families early on the value of healthy, active lifestyles is crucial for Cincinnati’s future,” Sittenfeld said.

The events Saturday tomorrow at Smale Riverfront Park include a youth soccer clinic, family fitness boot camp, healthy cooking demonstrations, yoga, salsa dancing lessons and many other activities that promote fun ways to be healthy.

It happens from 8:30 am until noon.

Attendees are asked to register in advance for the event.
