Miami University is looking for a new women's basketball head coach.
The Redhawks have fired Maria Fantanarosa effective immediately.
"I want to thank Coach Fantanarosa for all that she has done for Miami in her 15 seasons as Head Women’s Basketball Coach," said Miami Director of Athletics David Sayler. "She has been a valued member of the Miami community, and we wish her success in the next chapter of her career.”
Fantanarosa had been with the program for 15 years, compiling a 237-212 record including one NCAA tournament appearance in 2008.
The university will begin a nationwide search for her replacement.
