Seth Meyers To Perform At Miami University

The star of NBC’s “Late Night With Seth Meyers” brings his stand-up act to Miami University’s Parents Weekend in Oxford on Oct. 17.

He debuted on “Late Night” Feb. 24, when Jimmy Fallon took over “The Tonight Show” from Jay Leno.

Meyers is the second NBC late-night star to perform at Miami. Leno appeared multiple times. The university has a connection with NBC stars through Rick Ludwin, a 1970 graduate and generous benefactor who was NBC’s vice president over late-night programs, “SNL” and specials.

Before “Late Night,” Meyers was a “Saturday Night Live” cast member for 13 years (2001-14) – nine as head writer and eight as “Weekend Update” anchor.

He will perform at 8:30 p.m. Oct. 17 in Millett Hall. Tickets ($43) are available from the Miami Box Office, 111 Shriver Center, 701 E. Spring Street, Oxford, or by calling 513-529-3200.
