The Ohio Department of Transportation wants to know if there's a demand for noise reducing barrier walls to be built along I-75 from Galbraith Road to the northern end of the Lockland Split.
Here's the information from ODOT:
Those attending the open house-style meeting may visit any time between 5 and 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 18 to view exhibits and ask questions. No formal presentation will be made at the meeting which will take place in the cafeteria of Lockland High School, 249 W. Forrer St., Cincinnati. Parking will be available in the fenced parking lot at the corner of West Forrer Street and Cross Street; attendees should enter the building through Door 13.
During the meeting, the results of the I-75 Thru the Valley noise barrier analysis will be presented. In addition, comments, opinions and preferences of affected residents will be solicited in regard to the potential construction of seven new noise barriers located along I-75 from Galbraith Road to the northern end of the I-75 Lockland Split. Aerial mapping, detailing the location of the potential noise barriers, along with additional project information will be on display at the meeting for review and comment. Representatives from ODOT and ME/IBI Group (the project's engineering consultant) will be available to discuss the results of the study and the potential noise barriers.
