It features two of the largest turtle species in the world: A Galapagos tortoise named Bravo that weighs more than 600 pounds and is the largest turtle in the Midwest and a more than 100-year-old 118-pound alligator snapping turtle, as reported by Ann Thompson February 18th.
The Turtle Canyon exhibit also features Turtle Corral. Guests can touch a variety of tortoises including the Gopher tortoise. Turtle Canyon is located in the former Rainforest exhibit area. It will open to the public on Saturday.
