"Around Cincinnati" Fringe Festival Special
Cincinnati Fringe Festival productions push the boundaries of the “norm” and continually experiment with style and content. During this amazing festival (Jun 1-12), local, regional, national, and international artists invade downtown Cincinnati with over 150 shows in 11 days of artistic celebration in both traditional and non-traditional spaces. This special showcases a number of artists representing a variety of media, from theatre to dance, music, poetry, visual art, film, and more.
The Fringe Festival showcases cutting edge theatrical productions, films, and art at various venues around the city. Managing Artistic Director Eric Vosmeier will join Rick Pender to provide an overview of some of the plays, venues, after parties and more.

Robyn Carey-Allgeyer discusses the musical Sophie’s Dream with director Caitlin Kane and playwright/composer Serenity Fisher from the Tangled Leaves Theatre Collective.

Anne Arenstein previews Aberrant Reflections on the Barbarism of You & I with the founder of Artemis Exchange Chris Wesselman and director Mike Miller. Both are former students at Northern Kentucky University.

Jim Stump welcomes playwright Rhonda Pettit and director e.E.Charlton-Trujillo from the Cincinnati-based Piñata Productions’ presentation of Global Lovers.

Larry Thomas examines Digital Nada’s entry into the Fringe, The Water Draft which combines the talents of documentarian Barbara Wolf, collaborator Demi Tsasis and Cincinnati theater veteran Michael Burnham.

Robyn Carey-Allgeyer talks Soul Juice, the entry from Devil’s Deuce, and welcomes one of the creators, Dylan Shelton.
