Miles Davis: Kind of BlueCelebrate the 50th Anniversary of the release of one of the most revered and influential jazz recordings ever made, Miles Davis: Kind of Blue. The album’s recording sessions included an amazing array of jazz talent: Miles Davis, trumpet; Julian “Cannonball” Adderley, alto saxophone; John Coltrane, tenor saxophone; Wynton Kelly and Bill Evans, piano; Paul Chambers, bass; and Jimmy Cobb, drums.

Tune in to 91.7 for a one-hour exploration of its creation and enduring impact on both music and popular culture. The program features interviews with Jimmy Cobb, Herbie Hancock, Jackie McLean and others, and includes classic music from this iconic album as well as alternate takes and rare live recordings.
