Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble

Stevie Ray VaughanA one-hour special about legendary guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble will air on WVXU on Saturday, August 21th, at 11pm. Stevie Ray Vaughan passed away twenty years ago on August 27th, 1990, in a helicopter crash on his way to Chicago at the age of 35.

During this Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble special, listeners will hear about his early years. The formation of Double Trouble and its quick rise to fame will also be discussed from members Stevie Ray Vaughan, Chris Layton and Tommy Shanon, as well as from Stevie’s brother Jimmy Vaughan and Guitar World’s Andy Aledort.

This special coincides with the new Epic/Legacy double cd release of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble’s Couldn’t Stand the Weather (Legacy Edition) from 1984 which also includes 16 previously unreleased tracks and a live concert from Montreal on August 17th, 1984.
