Travel expert and author Patricia Schultz is coming to Cincinnati

Travel expert Patricia Schultz, author of the impressive and completely revised 1,000 Places to See Before You Die, the second edition: Completely Revised and Updated with Over 200 New Entries, will be speaking about national and world travel at the downtown branch at 2:00pm. She joins Mark Perzel on the phone to discuss this completely rewritten update and the one place she never tires of visiting and revisiting.

Queen City Merge happening May 9 & 10

May 9 and 10 are the dates for Queen City Merge, a gathering of developers, marketers, social media types and designers where ideas and visions are openly discussed and shared. As Bill Barnett and Tammy Gambrel tell Mark Perzel, along with the workshops and speakers, there are two nights of fun events where the participants can meet and talk in a more casual atmosphere.

Local birding expert and author Bill Thompson III

Bill Thompson III is a local birding expert, prolific author, and editor of Bird Watcher’s Digest. He’s with Thane Maynard for this week’s Field Notes to talk about his newest book, The Young Birder's Guide to Birds of North America, featuring some 300 common American and Canadian birds for young bird watchers to easily spot and identify. He also talks about the 2007 book All Things Reconsidered: My Birding Adventures, featuring stories, photographs and illustrations from the world famous nature artist/educator/ornithologist Roger Tory Peterson.
