The toll of doing anti-violence work in Chicago

Outreach workers in Chicago go into neighborhoods to try and intervene in disputes and get people off the streets before violence happens. Many are former gang members themselves.

As Patrick Smith of WBEZ reports, a new survey reveals that the work comes with a heavy cost.
