The author of "Driven by Desperation" discusses his childhood, his successes, and paying it back

Growing up on the island of Jamaica, Michael A. Folkes was tormented by grinding poverty, physical abuse and constant starvation. Today he is a successful businessman, and has established a foundation at his former elementary school in Jamaica to provide aid, along with encouragement and his spirit of optimism and can-do attitude, to children. In his just-released book, Driven by Desperation, Michael Folkes tells of his childhood and the path he has taken to get where he is today. He joins us to share some of his story and outlook on life.
