A 300 day update from Chief Blackwell & a conversation about the Collaborative Agreement
Jeffrey Blackwell marked his first 300 days as Cincinnati Police Chiefearlier this month by highlighting his goals of reducing crime, increasing officer visibility, making greater use of technology, and more-actively engaging youth. While the Chief was reflecting on his time leading the force, the city of Ferguson, Missouri was undergoing violence in the streets that was sadly familiar to Cincinnati residents who were here in 2001. We talk with Chief Blackwell about policing in Cincinnati, and hear his thoughts on what?'s been taking place in Ferguson. We are joined by community activist Iris Roley and attorney Al Gerhardstein, who were both involved in the creation of the Cincinnati Collaborative Agreement that came out of the unrest seen here in 2001.
