Commission On Women And Girls Wants Change

PROVIDED / HAMILTON COUNTY
Hamilton County Women and Girls Commission for 2019.

When Hamilton County Commissioner Denise Driehaus took office, she became the second woman ever to have a seat on the commission. She made it one of her priorities early on to begin addressing the disparity of women holding office. In 2017, she created the Hamilton County Commission on Women and Girls to promote women in leadership roles.

Now in its second year, the members, which include 10 girls and 20 women, presented a new set of recommendations to the county commission in November. Joining Cincinnati Edition to discuss their recommendations are Hamilton County Commission President Denise Driehaus; and Hamilton County Commission on Women and Girls members Jillian Teeters and Anna MacLennan.

Listen to Cincinnati Edition live at noon M-F. Audio for this segment will be uploaded after 4 p.m. ET.
