Before cable and satellite TV, before Netflix, Hulu, and other streaming media services, there was radio. Dramas, comedies, science fiction thrillers and variety shows were the entertainment of the day, programs where voice actors and effects artists provided the sounds, while the listener’s mind and imagination created the images. Local Film Maker Josh Flowers plans to re-create that experience, he and Becky Halterman, local nonprofit communication professional and blogger at Pump Up the Frump, are producing a retro-radio science fiction drama for today’s audiences. They held auditions this weekend, and join us today to discuss their project, The Scarlet Spacer.
