Concussions and repeated head trauma can cause serious and permanent damage to the brain. The risk is even greater for adolescents and teens. Dr. Edward A. Marcheschi, head of The Christ Hospital Sports Medicine Concussion Management Program, St. Elizabeth Sports Medicine Clinic Manager Scott Helton,  and Dr. Kelsey Logan, director of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center’s Division of Sports Medicine, discuss preventing, recognizing and treating concussions.

Maryanne Zeleznik is responsible for all news and public affairs programming at WVXU. She also hosts Morning Edition Monday through Friday.
