We Get The Latest On Cancer Research

Cancer touches everyone. About half of all men and one-third of all women in the United States will develop some form of cancer during their lifetimes. More than 1.5 million new cancer cases are diagnosed each year, and there are millions of people living who have survived cancer.

Joining us for a look at the latest cancer statistics, research and treatment are Dr. Elizabeth Shaughnessy, professor of Surgery at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine; Dr. Beverly Reigle, director of the UC Cancer Institute’s Cancer Survivorship Program; and, Dr. William Barrett, director of the UC Cancer Institute and medical director of the UC Barrett Cancer Center.

The UC Cancer Institute will present two seminars on October 12 about sexual health after cancer treatment, Man to Man and Woman to Woman. And on November 7 the Institute will present Charting a Course: Breast Cancer Research, Risk Factors and Resilience.
