WVXU Cincinnati parking lease award entry

The WVXU news team provided extensive coverage throughout 2013 of a Cincinnati proposal to lease most of the city's parking assets to a public/private partnership.  City Manager Milton Dohoney, Jr. introduced the plan in February, and the city council approved it in March.  Immediately the parking lease landed in court because some residents wanted the right to vote on the issue.  An appeals court eventually ruled residents did not have a right to vote on the parking lease.  That case and another continued until late September.  Once city voters selected a new mayor and three council members in November, the parking lease was put on hold.  That's where it remained for the rest of 2013.  This entry contains some of WVXU's coverage of the parking lease from its beginning in February until it was placed on hold in November.
