In the midst of the coronavirus global pandemic, hand sanitizer has become harder to come by. Though medical professional still encourage frequent hand-washing with soap and water to help slow the spread of the deadly respiratory virus, hand sanitizer is a hot commodity, too.
More importantly, hospitals responding to the growing number of COVID-19 cases are also in need of more sanitizer supplies.
Distilleries are answering the call.
Many have had to close down their traditional in-person operations as part of the effort to slow the spread of the virus, but while business is slower than usual, work isn't.
Joining Cincinnati Edition to talk about the unique role distilleries are playing in the pandemic response is Ludlow, Ky.-based Second Sight Spirits co-founder Carus Waggoner.
Listen to Cincinnati Edition live at noon M-F. Audio for this segment will be uploaded after 4 p.m. ET.
