'America's Got Talent' Auditions Here Nov. 14

Cincinnati's Duke Energy Convention Center will host auditions Tuesday, Nov. 14, for the 13th season of "America's Got Talent" to air on NBC next summer.

In addition to Cincinnati, NBC announced open call auditions in Orlando on Nov. 5; Savannah, GA on Nov. 19; Houston on Dec. 9; Las Vegas on Dec. 13; and Los Angeles on Feb. 3.

Tyra Banks hosts the national variety show talent search broadcast 8-10 p.m. Tuesdays (Channel 5, NBC) this summer. Live shows start Tuesday, Aug. 15 (8-10 p.m.), followed by a live results show Wednesday, Aug. 16 (8-9 p.m.). Series creator Simon Cowell, singer Mel Brown from the Spice Girls, model Heidi Klum and comedian-actor Howie Mandel are judges. The winner each season receives $1 million.

The eligibility requirementssay anyone under 18 must be accompanied at the audition by a parent or legal guardian. The rules also say that an applicant is "not currently a candidate for public office, and if selected to participate in the program, I agree that I will not become a candidate for public office until at least one (1) year after the initial broadcast of the final episode of the program in which I appear."

"America's Got Talent" premiered June 21, 2006, with host Regis Philbin. Jerry Springer was named host for 2007, after competing on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars." He did two seasons, then was replaced by Nick Cannon. Banks replaced Cannon this year.
