There's a great blues mini-festivalcoming to the PNC Pavilion on Saturday, September 8th. You can hear songs from three of the groups - Delbert McClinton, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, and Little Feat on my Blues show, 11pm-midnight, September 1st on WVXU.
PNC Pavilion announced the first annual Blues, Brews and BBQ, a mini blues festival featuring Delbert McClinton, Little Feat, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band and The Villains on Saturday, September 8th .
The festivities begin at 3:30pm and include a Craft Beer tasting that will feature an array of this year’s most popular craft beers, a FREE cook-out presented by Blues Grass Quality Meats and Kroger featuring a variety of Brats, Mets and Hot Dogs with salads and all the fixins’, and a Boubon tasting presented by Four Roses Bourbon. Tastings and cook-outs conclude at 6:00pm
A flavor of local music will be served up as blues musicians from the tri-state area perform on the Cincinnati Blues Society second stage. Artists include Rivertown Ramblers, Leroy Ellington Blues Band, The Juice, Chuck Brisbin & The Tuna Project, and Tempted Souls. Music on this stage runs from 3:30pm to 9:15pm.
Main stage acts begin at 5:00pm.
