Casting Your Presidential Cookie Vote

The Busken Presidential Cookie Poll choices (all crummy according to Brian Busken) are (from left) Independent smiley face "Cookie Party," Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

Voting is underway in the surprisingly accurate Busken Bakery Presidential Cookie Poll. Early results have independent "Cookie Party" in the lead.

Busken Vice President Brian Busken says, "The third party candidate was needed for "the big contingency of people that were not necessarily fans of either candidate this year." Although all the candidates, he says, "are crummy."

Chew on this for a while-The Busken Bakery presidential cookie poll has picked every sitting U.S. President since it began doing the straw poll in 1984.

"A few people have asked if there would be any hanging crumbs in this cookie poll. And we've assured them there would be no hanging crumbs. We've told them they are welcome to stuff the ballot box and buy as many cookies as they want," says Busken.

Trump supporter Jennifer Ebbinghouse got a look at the cookie candidates for the first time at the Hyde Park Busken Bakery. She says, "I think they are a hoot. I love them. I think it's a great idea." Hillary Clinton backer Tracy Barnes said he liked the smiley face cookie, so would have to buy two.

Totals will soon be on the Busken website and Facebook page. Closer to the election you can see the numbers on interstate billboards.

No matter how the cookie poll shakes out the results will NOT leave a bad taste in your mouth.
