Cinci Holiday Bike Drive: Because everyone remembers their first bike

The Cinci Holiday Bike Drive is a volunteer-run project that refurbishes donated children’s bicycles and provides them to low-income children in Cincinnati. The aim of the drive is to improve family and child health by promoting cycling in our community. With your help, they hope to bring the enjoyment of bicycling to everyone by providing children with their first bicycles and helmets.

I met with Cheryl Sussel, Jim Craven and Chris Lonsberry at Bishop's Bicycles in Milford  - just a quick pedal from the Loveland Bike Trail - to talk about the project.

If you have a gently used 12", 16", or 20" child's bike that you would like to donate, stop by REI in Rookwood Commons in Norwood on Saturday, May 11th between 10am and 2pm.  Donors will also receive discounts to REI and Whole Foods.

Music:
The Bike Song by Mark Ronson & The Business Intl.

Jim is a Northern Kentucky native and a father of three. In his spare time, Jim likes to read, play ice hockey and watch foreign films. He currently resides with his family on the East side of town.
