Cincinnati Contemporary Jazz Orchestra

As a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, the Cincinnati Contemporary Jazz Orchestra partners with many of the best arts organizations in the region, including two-year partnerships with both the Constella Festival of Music and Fine Arts and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. This past year, the organization partnered with the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra for their 40th Anniversary Season gala concert and in April, they will be featured in Memorial Hall's new Signature Series.

The CCJO has also performed with several jazz legends including Jimmy Heath, Jon Faddis, Byron Stripling, Bobby Shew, Vince DiMartino and Lew Soloff.

The CCJO is dedicated to reaching out to the greater Cincinnati community by offering outstanding educational programs that aim to enrich and transform lives through the power of the arts. The CCJO is the only area ensemble officially authorized by Jazz at Lincoln Center to present their interactive and educational program Let Freedom Swing! Presented at schools where arts funding has been cut, and created by Wynton Marsalis and Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, Let Freedom Swing! teaches U.S. history through jazz.

Come check us out on April 24 as we present Cincinnati Composers' Night at York Street Cafe in Newport, KY. The ensemble will perform pieces by local jazz composers and arrangers, including several members of our own ensemble: saxophonist Joe Duran, trombonist Domonic Marino and pianist Phil DeGreg!

Tickets to Cincinnati Composers' Night with the CCJO are only $12 for adults and $8 for students. They are available now through our page on Brown Paper Tickets. Reserve your seat today!
