Engaging young people in raising awareness & working for an end to genocide worldwide

As the grandson of four Holocaust survivors, Mark Hanis has dedicated his life to empowering young people to be agents of change. While a student at Swarthmore College and concerned about the genocide taking place in Darfur, he co-founded the Genocide Intervention Network, which later became the organization now known as United to End Genocide

The social entrepreneur also co-founded the Beeck Center for Social Impact & Innovation at Georgetown University. Mark Hanis joins us today with Alexis Storch, director of educational outreach with The Center for Holocaust & Humanity Education, to discuss using social innovation to prevent genocide, and empowering young people to be agents of change.

The Center for Holocaust and Humanity Education and The Eigel Center for Community-Engaged Learning welcomes social entrepreneur Mark Hanis to the Gallagher Student Center on the campus of Xavier University on February 24, 2015. For information and free tickets click here.
