As the grandson of four Holocaust survivors, Mark Hanis has dedicated his life to empowering young people to be agents of change. While a student at Swarthmore College and concerned about the genocide taking place in Darfur, he co-founded the Genocide Intervention Network, which later became the organization now known as United to End Genocide.
The social entrepreneur also co-founded the Beeck Center for Social Impact & Innovation at Georgetown University. Mark Hanis joins us today with Alexis Storch, director of educational outreach with The Center for Holocaust & Humanity Education, to discuss using social innovation to prevent genocide, and empowering young people to be agents of change.
