Experts From The New UC Health Center For Women's Cancer

Approximately 40,000 women will die from breast cancer this year in America, and about 4,000 more will die from cervical cancer. Early detection is critical in treating both diseases and reducing mortality rates, but there is a continuing debate over when and how often women should get screened, and which tests should be used, for both forms of cancer. Here to discuss cancer screening are Dr. Amy Argus, a radiologist with the University of Cincinnati Cancer Institute Comprehensive Breast Cancer Center and assistant professor at the UC College of Medicine; and Dr. Thomas Herzog, Clinical director for the UC Cancer Institute and professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UC College of Medicine.

An open house to unveil the new UC Health Center for Women'?s Cancer, housed on the third floor of the Barrett Cancer Center, will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, June 27. For more information, click here.
