The Cincinnati Museum Center's "Chocolate the Exhibition" opens June 29, 2018, and runs through January 6, 2019.

We gorge on it to satisfy our sweet tooth, but one of our most beloved indulgences wasn't always so widely available and it hasn't always been sweet. A new exhibit coming to the Cincinnati Museum Center traces the history of chocolate, where you'll explore what it's like to stand under a cacao tree from a Mesoamerican rainforest, and follow chocolate's journey across the Atlantic to Europe. Plus, you'll discover the industrial processes that made chocolate accessible to everyone.

Joining "Cincinnati Edition" to discuss chocolate's delicious history are Cincinnati Museum Center Chief Learning Officer Whitney Owens; and Maverick Chocolate Company Co-owner and Head Chocolate Maker Paul Picton.

"Chocolate the Exhibition" opens June 29, 2018, and runs through January 6, 2019 at the Cincinnati Museum Center.

Tune in to "Cincinnati Edition" June 13 starting at 1 p.m. to hear this segment.
