Fired NKU athletic director had inappropriate relationships with subordinates and student

Northern Kentucky University says fired athletic director Scott Eaton had inappropriate, intimate relationships with four university employees, including two women he supervised, and one student in a class he taught.

Eaton was fired in mid-March for failure to comply with NKU's ethical principles and code of conduct. The school did not elaborate at the time other than to add the action didn't involve an NCAA rules violation or some kind of financial misconduct.

Mearns says three of the four female university employees involved no longer work for the school and the student is no longer at NKU.
