Friends fans got their first look at the much anticipated Friends: The Reunion coming Thursday, May 27, to HBO Max.
The two-minute trailer shows cast members Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer returning to Warner Bros. soundstage No. 24 for the first time since the NBC sitcom ended its 10-year run in 2004.
"Where's the tissue box?" Aniston says as they tour the apartment set.
As they wander through the kitchen, LeBlanc moves a bowl of apples on the kitchen table and says, "Does Courtney still have her lines written on the table?"
The clip opens with TV's iconic Friends playing a trivia game in the living room, with Schwimmer asking questions from categories called "Fears & Pet Peeves," "Ancient History," 'Literature" and "It's All Relative."
During a scene from the 1994 premiere, Kudrow notes that their first "table read" of the script was the first time she met the other cast members.
"Everyone was so perfectly cast," Schwimmer says.
In part of the reunion, CBS Late Late Show host James Corden joins the gang to ask them questions in a talk show format. Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, Tom Selleck, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, David Beckham, BTS, Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevingne, Elliott Gould, Kit Harington, Larry Hankin, Thomas Lennon, Christina Pickles, James Michael Tyler, Maggie Wheeler and Malala Yousafzai also appear in the show.
HBO Max announced several Friends reunion promotions, including a “For Fans Of Friends” spotlight page on May 27 offering "a myriad of themed episodic collections from fan favorites, guest stars, iconic moments and fashion to custom talent-driven curations. Collections include 'Best of Rachel,' 'The Ones With Celebrity Guest' and the most-watched episodes."
HBO Max also on Wednesday revealed it will start a cheaper ad-supported tier in June. Subscribers will have a choice between the existing ad-free HBO Max steam for $14.99 per month, or a stream with advertising for $9.99 per month.
