It's Flying Pig Marathon weekend in Cincinnati. Runners of all kinds are preparing for everything from the the full marathon to fun runs and 5Ks.

Events begin Friday evening. The marathon begins around 6:30 Sunday morning.

Street closures:

To allow for setup of the finish line, the following streets will be closed on Friday, May 1 at 9 AM until the race completion on Sunday, May 3: E Pete Rose Way- closed from Broadway to Johnny Bench Way. One southbound lane of Johnny Bench Way will be maintained coming off Ramp LL from Second Street. A detour will be in place directing motorists back to E Pete Rose Way. Johnny Bench Way - northbound only closed The Little Kings Mile will take place on Friday, May 1 beginning at 6PM. The Little Kings Mile will send elite runners on a one mile course to the finish line on Mehring Way near Joe Nuxhall Way. In order to accommodate this event, the following streets will close on Friday, May 1 at 6:00 PM (All streets will reopen by 9:00 PM): Mehring Way- closed between Gest Street and E Pete Rose Way W Pete Rose Way- closed between Gest Street and Central Avenue Central Avenue- closed south of Third Street (Transit Center, CRG parking maintained) Elm Street- closed south of Freedom Way Joe Nuxhall Way- closed south of Freedom Way On Saturday May 2, 2015 the running of the 10K, 5K and Kids 1K will take place. The following streets will be affected starting at 7:00 AM until 3:00 PM: Second Street- All of Second Street will be closed Central Avenue- closed between Third Street and W Pete Rose Way Mehring Way- closed between Central Avenue and E Pete Rose Way Elm Street- closed between Third Street and Freedom Way Race Street- closed south of Third Street Vine Street/ Rosa Parks Blvd- closed between Third Street and Freedom Way Walnut Street- closed between Third Street and Freedom Way Main Street/ Joe Nuxhall Way- closed south of Third Street Broadway- closed south of Fourth Street (southbound allowed between Fourth and Third) Third Street- reduced to one lane westbound between Broadway and Clay Wade Bailey Bridge Third Street- eastbound closed between Clay Wade Bailey Bridge and Central on westbound US-50/Columbia Parkway, US-50/Columbia Parkway – single westbound curb lane closed between the Cincinnati Corporation Line and Eastern Avenue off ramp (westbound US-50 ramp to Eastern Avenue is closed) Ramp from Red Bank Road to Westbound Columbia Parkway - closed Eastern Avenue– westbound closed between Columbia Parkway and Stanley Avenue Stanley Avenue – southbound closed between Eastern Avenue and Kellogg Avenue Kellogg Avenue – westbound closed between Stanley Avenue and Worth Street Riverside Drive – eastbound closed between Worth Street and E. Pete Rose Way – closed between Riverside Drive and Johnny Bench Way Johnny Bench Way – closed The Half Marathon will follow the same course out but will turn back at Woodburn Avenue & Madison Road.
