Former Metro Driver Sentenced After Plea Deal

The former Metro bus driver who hit two pedestrians, killing one, will not serve time in prison. Tyrone Patrick pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide earlier this year, and was given a suspended sentence of 180 days.

On January 27, 2015, 73-year-old Stephen Frank was killed when Patrick's bus made an improper turn in Hyde Park Square. The bus also hit Frank's daughter.

Patrick was given three years probation, fined $1,000 and ordered to pay more than $4,400 in restitution.

Judge Ted Berry also revoked Patrick's driver's license for five years and ordered him to serve 500 hours of community service.
