Johnna Reeder Kleymeyer becomes interim dean of NKU's business school in January.

The former president and CEO of REDI Cincinnati is announcing her plans for the future. Johnna Reeder Kleymeyer is taking over as interim dean of the Haile/US Bank College of Business at Northern Kentucky University. The school says Reeder Kleymeyer's experience will be a good fit with its mission to prepare students for jobs in this region.

"Johnna's experience in economic development and regional collaboration to attract and retain companies aligns well with NKU's mission of leveraging partnerships to connect the talents within the College of Business with the needs of the region," says NKU President Ashish Vaidya in a statement. "We are thrilled to have Johnna lead the Haile/US Bank College of Business during this time of transition."

The university says the search for a permanent replacement continues.

Reeder Kleymeyer takes over Jan. 14.

"This is the type of opportunity I hoped for when I stepped down from REDI a few months ago, and I’m looking forward to partnering with faculty and the business community to prepare students and connect them with job opportunities," Reeder Kleymeyer says. "I am passionate about retaining talent in our region."

Reeder Kleymeyer announced in September she was stepping down as leader of the Regional Economic Development Initiative, which she'd led since its inception in 2014.
