The Invisible Kids Project working to improve the foster care system after the Marcus Fiesel tragedy

The foster care system was created to provide safety and shelter for children who might otherwise be homeless, neglected or in danger. But the system doesn'?t always work, and when that happens, children suffer. The goal of the Invisible Kids Project is to create positive change through community engagement, education, and common sense reform, to ensure and support the development and maintenance of a healthy, loving relationship for every child in the system. Holly Schlaack, author of Invisible Kids: Marcus Fiesel?'s Legacy, and executive director of the Invisible Kids Project, joins us.

Invisible Kids Project is holding a special event Saturday, August 16 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Fountain Square.
