Juliet Simmons Dinallo and her husband Michael Dinallo (from The Radio Kings) are appearing Monday, January 28th at MOTR Pub in Over the Rhine. Strum n’ Honey will also be performing. Music starts at 9:30pm that evening. Juliet and Michael will be performing as a duo at this free show.
Elaine Diehl spoke with them by phone from Boston on January 7th. During their conversation, the Dinallos shared how they met and their musical careers. Michael talks about his songwriting process, and they both discuss Juliet’s new release, Dream Girl. Juliet also talks about the renaissance of acoustic music.
Michael was the bandleader of the Radio Kings from 1990 to 1999, but the band finally dissolved when he and Brian Templeton, the vocalist, went in different directions. They performed at blue festivals here in town a number of times over the years.
