On this King Records rockabilly special, Saturday, June 30th at 11pm, the King of Covers, Delbert Barker, is featured. Mr. Barker drove down from Middletown to our studio on July 9th, 2015, to talk with music historian and King Records expert Brian Powers about his career. During this hour, you’ll hear his memories of working in television and his love of country music which led to his recording sessions including some in 1956 and 1966 at King Records. Most of the songs that you’ll hear during this hour are from his album, “Kentucky Hillbilly Rockabilly Man,” on Stomper Time Records.
